Holy Baptism

Baptism is the means by which we become members of the Community of Believers, defined in the New Testament as the Body of Christ. Baptism is the answer an individual gives to a call to Follow Jesus in the context of a Community of Faith.

If you are interested in becoming a mamber of the Christian Community and Celebrating the Sacrament of Baptism in the context of Good Shepherd Faith Community, please contact Fr. Bob through this site.  Baptisms are celebrated several times a year during the Sunday Services.  A short period of preparation is expected unless it is an emergency situation.

Confirmation

Confirmation is when a baptized person, who has been instructed in the Christian faith, makes a mature commitment to his or her life of faith.  The Bishop visits our congregation each year to celebrate Confirmations as well as to Receive new members into the Episcopal Church.  Sometimes, when the Bishop is here individuals who have been Episcopalians for many years choose to Reaffirm that commitment at the hands of the Bishop of the Diocese.

Visiting Bishop, Rt. Rev. Hector Monterroso will be with us on Sunday, 26 January 2020 to celebrate Confirmations, Receptions and Reaffirmations of Faith.   Please call or email Fr. Bob if you have an interest in Confirmation.
